写分数 = menulis pecahan

Dengar urutan: nombor sebelum fēn zhī ialah penyebut 8, nombor selepasnya ialah pengangka 5. Penyebut ditulis di bawah garis, pengangka di atas. Tiada yòu, jadi tiada nombor bulat di hadapan.

Contoh: Sì fēn zhī sān bǎi wàn bermaksud penyebut 4 dan pengangka 3, jadi ditulis 3/4 juta.

Awas: Kesilapan biasa ialah menulis 8 di atas kerana ia didengar dahulu. Pecahan wajar mesti mempunyai pengangka lebih kecil.

写分数 = writing a fraction

Listen to the order: the number before fēn zhī is the denominator 8, and the number after it is the numerator 5. The denominator goes below the bar and the numerator above it. There is no yòu, so no whole number in front.

Example: Sì fēn zhī sān bǎi wàn means denominator 4 and numerator 3, so it is written 3/4 million.

Watch out: A common slip is writing 8 on top because it is heard first. A proper fraction must have the smaller number on top.

Liù sebelum yòu ialah nombor bulat 6. Dalam sì fēn zhī yī, nombor 4 disebut sebelum fēn zhī, jadi ia penyebut; nombor 1 ialah pengangka. Letakkan nombor bulat di sebelah kiri pecahan.

带分数 = writing a mixed number

Liù before yòu is the whole number 6. In sì fēn zhī yī, the 4 comes before fēn zhī, so it is the denominator; 1 is the numerator. Put the whole number on the left of the fraction.

Example: Qī yòu èr fēn zhī yī bǎi wàn is written 7 1/2 million.

Watch out: Do not make 4 the whole number, and do not swap the 6 and the 4.

带分数 = padanan nombor bercampur

Nombor bulat ialah 9. Shí fēn zhī sān bermaksud penyebut 10 dan pengangka 3. Cari pilihan yang meletakkan 3 di atas garis, 10 di bawah dan 9 di hadapan.

Contoh: Yī yòu wǔ fēn zhī sì bǎi wàn ditulis 1 4/5 juta.

Awas: Jika 10 diletakkan di atas, pecahan menjadi lebih besar daripada 1, dan itu bukan pecahan wajar.

带分数 = matching a mixed number

The whole number is 9. Shí fēn zhī sān means denominator 10 and numerator 3. Look for the choice with 3 above the bar, 10 below it and 9 in front.

Example: Yī yòu wǔ fēn zhī sì bǎi wàn is written 1 4/5 million.

Watch out: Putting 10 on top makes the fraction bigger than 1, which is not a proper fraction.

输入带分数 = menaip nombor bercampur

Èr sebelum yòu memberi nombor bulat 2. Bā fēn zhī qī memberi penyebut 8 dan pengangka 7. Taip mengikut format: nombor bulat, satu jarak, kemudian pengangka/penyebut.

输入带分数 = typing a mixed number

Èr before yòu gives the whole number 2. Bā fēn zhī qī gives denominator 8 and numerator 7. Type it in the format: whole number, one space, then numerator/denominator.

Example: Sān yòu shí fēn zhī qī bǎi wàn is typed as 3 7/10.

Watch out: Do not type 8/7 just because 8 is heard first, and do not forget the space between the whole number and the fraction.

读真分数 = Membaca pecahan wajar juta

Dalam 3/5 juta, nombor bawah ialah penyebut dan nombor atas ialah pengangka. Dalam bahasa Cina, penyebut disebut dahulu, kemudian perkataan penghubung fēn zhī, diikuti pengangka, dan akhirnya unit bǎi wàn (juta). Dalam bahasa Melayu pula, pengangka disebut dahulu.

Contoh: Contoh: 7/10 juta dibaca 'shí fēn zhī qī bǎi wàn', atau tujuh per sepuluh juta.

Awas: Jangan terbalikkan susunan pengangka dan penyebut ketika membaca dalam bahasa Cina.

读真分数 = Reading proper fractions of a million

In 3/5 million, the bottom number is the denominator and the top number is the numerator. In Chinese, the denominator is said first, then the linking word fēn zhī, then the numerator, and finally the unit bǎi wàn (million). In English the numerator is said first.

Example: Example: 7/10 million is read 'shí fēn zhī qī bǎi wàn', or seven tenths of a million.

Watch out: Do not swap the numerator and denominator when reading in Chinese.

读带分数 = Membaca nombor bercampur juta

Nombor bercampur 7 2/3 juta terdiri daripada nombor bulat dan pecahan wajar. Sebut nombor bulat dahulu, sambung dengan perkataan yòu (dan), kemudian baca pecahan dengan penyebut dahulu, perkataan fēn zhī, lalu pengangka. Perkataan bǎi wàn disebut sekali sahaja pada akhir.

Contoh: Contoh: 4 5/6 juta dibaca 'sì yòu liù fēn zhī wǔ bǎi wàn', iaitu empat dan lima per enam juta.

Awas: Jangan tukar kedudukan nombor bulat dengan pengangka.

读带分数 = Reading mixed numbers of a million

The mixed number 7 2/3 million has a whole number part and a proper fraction part. Say the whole number first, join it with the word yòu (and), then read the fraction with the denominator first, the word fēn zhī, and then the numerator. Say bǎi wàn only once, at the very end.

Example: Example: 4 5/6 million is read 'sì yòu liù fēn zhī wǔ bǎi wàn', four and five sixths of a million.

Watch out: Do not swap the whole number with the numerator.

In a Chinese fraction reading, the number said before fēn zhī is the denominator and goes below the line. The number said after fēn zhī is the numerator and goes above the line. Then add the unit million after the fraction.

Example: Example: 'bā fēn zhī sān bǎi wàn' is written as 3/8 million.

Watch out: A proper fraction must have a numerator smaller than its denominator; check again if yours is upside down.

The word before yòu (and) is the whole number, so write it first. After yòu, the number said before fēn zhī is the denominator and the number after it is the numerator. Write that fraction beside the whole number, then put RM in front and million at the back.

Example: Example: 'èr yòu wǔ fēn zhī èr bǎi wàn lìng jí' is written as RM 2 2/5 million.

Watch out: Do not write an improper fraction such as 4/3 inside a mixed number.
