Soalan pertama menguji organ pembiakan wanita yang menghasilkan ovum. Soalan kedua menguji fungsi tali pusat.
organs and umbilical cord = 器官与脐带
The first question tests which female reproductive organ produces eggs. The second question tests the functions of the umbilical cord. The umbilical cord connects the foetus with the placenta, carries oxygen and nutrients to the foetus, and carries the foetus’s waste to the placenta to be removed through the mother’s body.
Example: The umbilical cord carries nutrients from the placenta to the foetus.
Watch out: The amniotic fluid, not the umbilical cord, protects the foetus from knocks.
Contoh: Memakai topi keledar semasa berbasikal melindungi otak jika terjatuh.
These two questions are about things that damage or protect the nervous system. Alcohol and drugs taken over a long time can damage the brain and nerves. Safety measures such as wearing a helmet protect the brain from injury. Choose the answer that is most closely linked to the nervous system.
Example: Wearing a helmet while cycling protects the brain in a fall.
Watch out: Ordinary drinks such as soya bean milk do not damage the nervous system.
These two sentences test the functions of the male reproductive organs. The testes produce sperm, not eggs, because eggs are produced by the female ovaries. The penis delivers semen containing sperm into the vagina. Choose the correct word to complete each sentence.
Example: The testis is the male organ that produces sperm.
Watch out: Ovaries and eggs are found only in females.
Saraf tunjang menghantar maklumat. Otak dan saraf tunjang bersama-sama membentuk sistem saraf pusat, bukan sistem saraf periferi. Nilai setiap pernyataan satu demi satu.
Contoh: Otak menganalisis maklumat, manakala saraf tunjang menghantarnya.
brain and spinal cord = 脑和脊髓
X is the brain and Y is the spinal cord. The brain is the control centre of the nervous system that analyses and processes information. The spinal cord carries information. The brain and the spinal cord together form the central nervous system, not the peripheral nervous system. Judge each statement one by one.
Example: The brain analyses information, while the spinal cord carries it.
Watch out: The peripheral nervous system is made of the other nerves, not the brain and spinal cord.
Identify each organ from the description given. The passage the baby passes through at birth is the vagina, and the pair of organs on both sides of the uterus are the ovaries. Then write the function of each organ: the vagina is the passage for sperm to enter and the baby to come out, while the ovaries produce eggs.
Example: The ovaries sit on both sides of the uterus and produce eggs.
Watch out: The uterus is where the foetus grows, not the passage at birth.
Looking down for too long puts pressure on the neck and the spinal cord. The way to protect the spinal cord is to use the correct posture, which means holding the phone at eye level so that the neck does not bend. Complete the suggestion and the explanation with words that show the effect on the spinal cord.
Example: Sitting up straight and holding a book at eye level protects the neck.
Watch out: Rest the eyes and neck after using a phone for a long time.
Information travels from the receptor through the peripheral nerves to the central nervous system, and then instructions travel back through the peripheral nerves to the effector. If any part of this pathway is damaged, the information or instruction cannot get through. Peripheral nerves only carry information and do not make decisions.
Example: If the nerves from the eye are damaged, the brain does not receive information about what is seen.
Watch out: An effector cannot act without an instruction from the central nervous system.
helmet = 头盔
The brain is inside the head and is the control centre of the nervous system, so it must be well protected. A cap only protects from sunlight and cannot absorb a knock. A hard helmet can protect the head and the brain if the rider falls.
Example: Cyclists and motorcyclists should wear a helmet with the strap fastened properly.
Watch out: An ordinary cap cannot protect the head from a knock.
